Cartagena Name´s

The name of "Cartagena" that occurred some years later him to our bay, must, probably, to the famous navigator and cosmógrafo Juan de la Cosa, that had been one of the companions of Columbus in the trip of the discovery.

When Juan de la Cosa and his companions penetrated with their ships to this bay, it was looked to them like Cartagena in Spain, and for that reason they baptized it with that name: Bay of Cartagena.
